I never thought that the command sponsorship process would be this difficult and stressful. I can't help but think that there has to be an easier way to get this process done. I am almost positive that the army strives to be difficult and complicated.
As of now our command sponsorship packet has left brigade approved and we are awaiting out authorization number and orders. However a week later we are still waiting.
This would not be an issue however JB is now being sent to Master Gunner school at Fort Benning, GA in January and we really want to be there and settles before he goes. However each day that goes by without orders makes this seen impossible.
I am going to put another email into ms. Kim and see if i can get any information out of her. I hate being in limbo. Even if I was told we wouldn't move until after JB is back from this school I atleast could start planning. But now I'm stuck between whether to start packing to leave in a few weeks or to relax because it'll be 4 months before we move.
Three words to sum this whole command sponsorship process up?
Annoyed & complete frustration.

It's November!
While we don't have orders in our hand yet, we will soon! We may be getting help in getting our command sponsorship packet pushed up thanks to JB being amazing at what he does and being sent to a special school and them helping us out.
Meanwhile, I've been researching South Korea so I can start to get to know the country, the culture and whatever else I can before I head that way! Just thought I would share some of what I have found :)
While reading an article called "10 best things about Koreas", not only am I happy to see that #3 is Korean's LOVE soccer... (which means I hope to get Ry in on playing some soccer when/if she is old enough) but #1 was comforting on this list....
#1 – And last but not the least, Koreans will make you feel at home away from home. Koreans are really down to earth persons. They will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They are very accomodating and in general they have a very good attitude towards foreigners. They are friendly, helpful, considerate and good people to hang out with.
I have heard over and over that they are so family oriented. They will help you out whether you ask for it or not. It's just how they are. A mom there is a mom and you don't have to be her blood child for her to treat you like her own. I LOVE that. I want my kids growing up knowing that family is important, it always comes first, no matter what.
A few other interesting facts that I found are:
*Korea ranks LOWEST for terrorism and crime (bribe, burglary, drug offenses etc.)
*South Korean Kids are the best in the world at science and math. Also has the highest per capita rate for PhD.
*Koreans are extremely hygenic. You may find a korean friend brushing his teeth atleast 3x a day.
*Koreas LOVE dog. Despite eating dog(special breed just for eating, not any breed!) in their culture they love pets, especially dogs.
*Koreas have the fastest broadband and the most broadband users in the world.
I sure do hope that the Korea culture rubs off on my children. The more I read the more I fall in love with their values and culture. I hope I love it just as much or more once I get there. <3

Holy Paperwork
I of course always knew that the Army had a form for everything but rarely had I ever myself encountered it. Until now that is!
